KALIA YOJONA NEWS 

After a long hiatus, the Kalia scheme has resumed in the state. On Friday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched a black installment on farmers' accounts. Today, Rs 2,000 crore has been credited directly to the accounts of 5.3 million farmers in the state under the Kalia Yojana. A total of Rs 1,282 crore has been sent to farmers' accounts. Earlier, the state government had provided Rs 10,000 in two installments.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has distributed the third installment of Kalia to 5.3 million farmers. In the third installment, Rs 2,000 went directly to the farmers' bank accounts. Earlier, 5,000 entries in two installments cost a total of Rs 10,000. The state government today announced Rs 2,000 for the Kalia scheme and Rs 2,000 for the scheme. There are 3.6 million registered and small farmers, while 1.8 million are landless farmers. The central government is only giving PM Kisan money to nominal and small farmers. The state government, however, has provided this assistance to landless farmers.

On January 26, 2016, the state government provided Rs 5,000 crore to 51 lakh farmers in the first installment. The second installment went in November. There are more than 5.3 million farmers in the state. However, some of them were alleged to be ineligible beneficiaries. As many as 4,000 farmers have been excluded from the scheme.
