PAN cards are an important document in India. PAN cards are mandatory for every financial transaction. PAN cards are required to file income tax returns, starting with opening a bank account. People over the age of 18 must have a PAN card. Online fraud cases are on the rise right now. In this case, the PAN card is also likely to be counterfeit. You may be in trouble for a fake PAN card. In this case, you can check whether the PAN card is genuine or not.
You can check the PAN card for real or fake:
- Go to the Income Tax Department e-filing portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
- The Verify Your PAN Details option will appear on the home page, click on it
- You have to give your name, address, drink number on the new page
- After giving all the information, a message will appear on the portal that the information you provided is correct or incorrect
- You can also find out if your PAN card is active
- This way you can easily tell if your PAN card is genuine or fake
How to make a PAN card at home:
Go to the NSDL or UTIITSL website to apply for a PAN card. You can also apply online and offline. This requires an identity card, a house certificate and a birth certificate.
Apply Online for a PAN Card:
Go to the NDSL site to get a new PAN card. Then go to the application type. Click on New PAN - Indian Citizen (Form 49A). Then go to the category option and choose your own category. Give all the details. Then submit the code and submit. Then a message will come to your mobile. Then click Continue with the PAN Application Form. Then submit your digital e-KYC. Provide your personal information on the other side of the form. Then provide your area code, AO type and other details. Then click on the procedure.
