According to livemint reports, the plan could also extend the deadline for the government to provide food and cash. A senior government official said the incentive package 3.0 focuses on increasing demand and providing social security. According to the report, the government has included in the third incentive package a cash transfer scheme for 20 crore public accounts and 3 crore poor senior citizens, widows, and the disabled. This cash transfer is also part of the PMGKY.


According to the PMGKY scheme, the government is giving a person 5 kg of rice or wheat per month. The government's scheme has benefited 41 crore people in the country.

14.7 crore housing holders are given one kilo of beans free per month.

The rations are provided under the National Food Security Act.







Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the Prime Minister's Poor Welfare Scheme to protect people from the lockdown due to the Karona epidemic. Under a total package of Rs 1.60 lakh crore, the government has promised to provide free rations to the poor, women, poor senior citizens, and farmers. Under the scheme, money has been transferred to the accounts of 4 crore farmers under the Prime Minister's Kisan Yojana.
